A modern and clean take on a smokey eye is what you need! Using browns and bronzes rather than greys or blues. Here's how to get the look
S t e p O n e
Start with a clean base as always. Prep your skin with moisturiser and primer (a must for hot days.) go for a foundation that will be less likely to sweat off, and opt for a Dewey look if possible- that way if you do become a sweaty Betty, it will look more intentional.

Pick your blush. Go for a cream, or even better- tint, for stay put power. Again, use the tick motion for definition. Follow with a highlighter on your temples and bridge of your nose if that floats your boat.

Use a light bronze colour shadow all over the socket. Then follow with a darker shade of bronze from when the crease starts, following the shape of your brow arch. BLEND! Stop at this point, and apply your mascara and liner. I like to do this now, and then build on your shadow, as you are able to see how heavy you can go before you start looking like you've been smacked in the eye with a golf ball. Getting a smokey eye right is hard and takes practice, but so long as you blend and have a lighter skin colour shadow you can go over dark spots with- you're fine!

Finish off with a coral lip. Perfect for all skin tones. Is great for day and night, and very on trend.

Pretty look. I've always been a fan of a subtle flush on the cheeks with a bloder lip. Im adding that Rimmel color to my list!
ReplyDeleteThanks darling! I know, right?! Very youthful! Seriously, track some of that Rommel down. It's a matte finish, the best colour, and doubles as blush. Favourite!!
