T i g h t a r s e T u e s d a y

It's here again, ladies! Get the look for less. Fab!

Today I used

Foundation - my new fave. Lol in golden beige. $2. Get it from Kmart. Not just for Tuesdays! Great for Mondays and Thursdays, in particular.

On the brows - Natio Brow Kit. A great, cheap product that consists of brow wax, powders and brushes. The powders can double as liners and shadows, too. Most good chemists and department stores stock this.

Eyes- the same palette from my last tightarse entry by models prefer. I opted for the grey and maroon tones today. Used the shadow as liner too. Get this from Priceline.

Lastly the lips. Some say dark eyes, light lips. I say, shut up and do what makes you happy. I picked sportsgirl pout about it in love bite. I got this from general pants. Psych! It's from sportsgirl, silly.

Hope you like today's fun look. Remember, you don't have to pay a bomb to look put together. Just be smart about it!

L i e b s t e r A w a r d

Hi pretties!

Today I was lucky enough to be tagged to do the Liebster Award by BeautyBalmer (check her blog out here!http://beautybalmer.blogspot.com.au/ ).

 The Rules are:
  • Answer the questions given to you by the person who tagged you in a blog post.
  • Tag 10 bloggers and provide questions for them to answer.
  • Inform the bloggers that they have been tagged.
  • Add the Liebster badge to your blog

The questions

Pink, red or orange lipstick?
I go for somewhere in between.. Coral, baby! It just works on all chicks, and is an instant refresher to the face!

What is your staple everyday make up product that you always wear?
Benefits cha cha tint. If you haven't tried it, go out and get it! It will change your life :)

When you go shopping do you buy beauty or fashion?
Beauty for sure. I'm a firm believer in the idea that you can create a totally different look of an outfit by a great lip, hairdo etc. and it's cheaper in the long run!

What product would you recommend to everyone?
See answer to question 2. Get it!

What is you fave drugstore make up brand and why?
I love me some australis! Great nail colours, concealers, liners and lippies. The main selling point for me is that their undertone for their foundation isn't that cheap pink colour.

What is you fave high end make up brand and why?
It's a tie between benefit and Elizabeth Arden. Benefit for their amazing primers, highlighters, blushes etc.. But Elizabeth Arden will also always have my heart. They have a sponge on cream make up that I'm obsessed with. Doesn't dry out my skin, is easy to apply. Great coverage and makes you look airbrushed. Love!

Where do you buy most of your beauty products?
This varies. Drug stores, Priceline etc for my lipsticks and liners. The bases and primers etc I tend to stock up on when I'm travelling through the states . Usually from sephora.

What is your most worn perfume?
At the moment it is Gucci Guilty. Though this changes all the time!

When travelling what are your essentials?
MAC face and body make up. So versatile and water resistant. A tubular mascara, and a neutral eye palatte. Throw in a liquid liner and cheek/lip stain for good measure!

What is your fave eyeshadow palette?
At the moment it is cliniques Colour Surge Shadow Quad. It has a great neutral cream, but some beautiful bronzes you can build up for night time :)

My questions are ( and feel free to comment with your own answers, I want to know what YOU love!)

*liquid, powder or cream foundation?

*what is you go to look, and the products you use to achieve it?

*tell me about a secret find!a product/brand that isn't well known but amazing!

*how do you apply your foundation?

*to BB or not to BB?

*your 5 can't live without products and why.

T i g h t a r s e T u e s d a y !

Hi lovelies!
Today is tightarse Tuesday and I have some amazing Steals for you all that you can find at your local pharmacy.

Let me start with my absolute must have...

Designer Brands- Absolute Lash.
*this is an amaaaazing mascara that I literally use everyday. It's cheap as chips, but even if it weren't, I'd be buying it in buck loads because it is a tubular mascara! For those of you that don't know what this is, it's a mascara that coats your lashes in little unclumpy, perfect, shiny, magic tubes! You can wipe, cry, swim, sweat etc, and this baby will not budge. It will only come off with warm water and gentle pulling with your fingers. All this for 12 bucks!
*you will like this if you are a Model Co Lashxtend

Next up is a little foundation I found in Kmart the other day. I was looking for a cheapo foundation i could use for my legs as id run out of bronzer, but was pleasantly surprised by how great it was that its graduated to my face! It's an in store brand called...lol!

Lol- liquid foundation in natural beige. This was $2. NOT on sale!
It doesn't have that tacky pinky orange cheap foundation look about it- more of a yellow base which looks super natural. It's a really nice waxy consistency which makes it sweat/water resistant too.
*you will like this if you like MAC Face and Body Foundation.

W7- Creme De La Creme , cream blush is Heavenly. And it's just that.. Heavenly! Goes on easy, great colour, $5. Win!

Models Prefer Eyeshadow palette in - The Must Have Shadows Compact

The liquid Liner is by E Essence and was about 3 bucks a pop.

I couldn't tell you who the lippy was by, but it's red, cheap and stays put!

Don't think you have to spend big bucks to look 'done'. That's just not the case at all.

Pic below. Hope you like!

H o m e m a d e L i p B a l m

Hi lovelies!  Getting married or throwing a party and stuck for ideas on what to give your guests? I treated my lass guests to home made coconut lip balms. It's cheap, super delicious and nourishing and easy peasy!

How to do it :

Mix equal parts melted coconut oil and beeswax together, then melt in a dash of honey (which you can substitute for vanilla, strawberry or whatever flavour tickles your pickle). Pour in to little pots, and allow to set. TADA!! Done! Good job!

Below is a pic or of my girlfriends just sent me from Paris. She loves it so much, she takes it everywhere she goes.

*beware, this ish is highly addictive. You will get through a bot in record time ;)
Enjoy!

C a n t L i v e W i t h o u t - T i n t s

Lip and cheek tints are my, and should be your, best friend. I love a dual purpose product, which I'm sure you know by now..
Not only are they handy, but they are great value. A good lip and cheek tint will last you forever and a day- a little goes a long way. Just remember to blend.

My picks below - Posie Tint by Benefit, lip marker by H&M, and Chubby Stick in Bountiful Blush.

Just because it says lip stain, don't think you can't whack that sucker on your cheeks, or vice versa. For instance, chubby sticks make for fab blushes. Just a pretty flush to the cheeks. Perfect!

A little trick I like? Pick a loose blush that you love, mix with Vaseline, and voila! You've made your own hybrid lip balm/blush! I did this with a sportsgirl loose powder blush, and wore it as my lip colour on my wedding day. Great staying power, pretty colour. Try it!

M o d e l C o B r o n z e D r y T o u c h S u n s c r e e n R e v i e w

Happy Monday!
I recently got given the brand new Model Co Bronze Dry Touch sunscreen to try, and I've got to say, like most model co products- it won me over. Here's why.

We all know the importance of the use of a good sunscreen.. And this is just that. At a whopping 50+, this physical sunsreen can roll with the best of them. But that's not it. It makes you want to wear sunscreen. The packaging is gorgeous, which in itself is enough for me, but it looks fab on! I've worn this every day since my first try.

This sweet smelling lotion thats scent always seems to leave me day dreaming of my homeymoon in hawaii, goes on very easily and can replace a moisturiser. In fact, I think it looks better on unmoisturised skin. Once you rub it in, wash your hands, and by the time you're done washing, you're left with dry, non greasy, sun protected, sexy, (artificially)sun kissed skin. The colour is so natural and goes on so easily that I don't even bother tanning anymore. This takes its place.

The best part? It's water resistant, and doesn't seem to leave your clothes looking like you've bathed in vegemite before getting dressed (v.important)

Go on, try it. I bet you'll love it as much as me.

Ooh! Almost forgot..

T r y   T h i s

I mix a little of the sunscreen with my moisturiser on the weekend and use that in place of foundation. Gives you a glowy look, and evens out skin tone. :)

Til next time, pretties! Xo

W e e k e n d L o o k

Hi! Today's look again, is all about versatility. Something that you can take from day to night. Now it's starting to hot up, we are having afternoon drinks, going to the races.. All stuff that requires a put together look, but you don't want to look overdone during the light hours, nor underdone once the sun goes down.
A modern and clean take on a smokey eye is what you need! Using browns and bronzes rather than greys or blues. Here's how to get the look

S t e p   O n e

Start with a clean base as always. Prep your skin with moisturiser and primer (a must for hot days.) go for a foundation that will be less likely to sweat off, and opt for a Dewey look if possible- that way if you do become a sweaty Betty, it will look more intentional.

S t e p   T w o

Pick your blush. Go for a cream, or even better- tint, for stay put power. Again, use the tick motion for definition. Follow with a highlighter on your temples and bridge of your nose if that floats your boat.

S t e p   T h r e e

Use a light bronze colour shadow all over the socket. Then follow with a darker shade of bronze from when the crease starts, following the shape of your brow arch. BLEND! Stop at this point, and apply your mascara and liner. I like to do this now, and then build on your shadow, as you are able to see how heavy you can go before you start looking like you've been smacked in the eye with a golf ball. Getting a smokey eye right is hard and takes practice, but so long as you blend and have a lighter skin colour shadow you can go over dark spots with- you're fine!

S t e p   F o u r

Finish off with a coral lip. Perfect for all skin tones. Is great for day and night, and very on trend.

Stash a lippie and some blotting paper in your purse and You're done!!

Today I used
Benefit The Porefessional Primer
MAC face and body makeup
Benefit boi-ing concealer
Benefit Cha Cha tint
Mary Kay Sheer Dimensions Powder in Coral
Lancôme sensational effects eye shadow quad
Rimmel show off lipstick in 04 Kiss Me
No name liner and brow pencil
Blinc Tubing Mascara

Happy Sunday!

Y o u r G o - T o W o r k L o o k

If you are anything like me, you're hitting the snooze button 3 too many times of a morning leaving you time poor. This look is my day to day look and takes 5 minutes max. It also uses minimal products, which I love- and so does my pocket! Here it is in a nutshell

S t e p   O n e

Start with a clean and smooth canvas. Just a couple of mins in the shower with your fave cleanser. Exfoliate bi-weekly if possible to keep your skin glowy. Then lather up your skin with some moisturiser , followed by some primer if you wish.

S t e p   T w o

Pick your base. I'm a liquid/cream foundation bird. I find powders cake and age me. Conceal if needed.

S t e p   F o u r

Grab a lip/cheek tint. Slap it on your kissers in with a dabbing motion for a flushed look. Then apply the same product on the cheek by emulating a Nike tick. This will contour and make your cheeks pop. My personal 'cant live without' fave is Benefits 'Cha Cha Tint'. It's coral toned and suits everyone - it just perks you up with a healthy flush!

A n d   L a s t l y

Take a goldeny/bronze/bone (any neutral)shadow all the way over the socket up to the brow bone. A coat of mascara and liner if you please( I prefer top lashes only - more youthful and daytimey!)and fill in those brows. Voila. No coffee yet and you already look wide awake.

T h e   B e s t  P a r t ?

Going out after work? Pop a red lippie in your handbag, mess up your hair, and you're good to go!

T o d a y   I   U s e d . . .

Mary Kay Foundation Primer Sunscreen
Clinique Stay Matte oil free Foundation
Benefit Cha Cha Tint
Clinique High impact Curling Mascara
Kiko All Over Light
No name brow pencil and liner

And the lips...

Chanel Rouge Coco 19 Gabrielle

Hope you like! Have a great day! Xo

D r e a m y B a b i e s B r e a t h

I recently got married at the beautiful Peppers Creek Winery in the Hunter Valley. It was the perfect Day, filled with love, laughter, family and friends.

the venue itself is set amongst the vineyards of the valley and lends itself to playing it up with  dreamy and creamy vintage tones. I chose to keep it simple with candle light, timber and babies breath. Simple. Gorgeous. Perfection.

I went for the same idea with my hair, makeup and dress on the day.
Ill be posting more on wedding day beauty prep, and theming- DIY decor in upcoming entries. Make sure you drop by to get ideas for your own special day!
